Met with friendly happy staff. Service was efficient and food hot and tasty. Went in ten minutes before closing and they were still cooking fresh orders.... not offered what was in the heat drawer but whatever I wanted off the menu. Will be recommending to friends and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

We tried this chip shop because it was new and our local Parkway does not sell Potatoe scollops but Smart did. And we were not disapointed we have been quite afew times now and try something different each time. The fish is tasty and fluffy chunky flakes and thr batter perfect. The chicken had a lovely cripsy skin and the chicken moist not dried out, the beefburger in batter was tasty not greasy or hard and the batter just right not greasy, the chips have always been perfect and not greasy and portion generous, the potatoe scollops were actually the best we have ever had!....Curry sauce ok but could do with abit more kick and the service Friendly and most food cooked to order during quite times.....we use this chippie now 90% of time now I would ignore the bad comments because how many times we have been now and not had bad I just cant help but think its another chippie worried about the amazing competition putting them up haha....so go yourself and give it a go..... also why I think some reviews fake(or people been put on wrong Smart chippie ) is some reviews older then a year old....this chippie is new and was just a field here 3 years ago!!!!!! So abit confussed

Go here regularly. Place is spotlessly clean, cod fish is excellent; nice white and firm chips OK - we always have one portion for two people. Can't fault the service on the times I have visited. They offer varied menu choices like kebabs but never tried them so can't comment on those. Parking is easy.

Always welcoming and friendly never too long to wait, good fish and great chips! Having tried other fish + chips in town, I can safely say our return to Smart Fish Bar had us all extremely satisfied, amazing brilliant cooked cod and haddock, chicken was perfect, curry sauce is delicious.
